I was lucky. I was fortunate enough to have art and the arts in my life from an early age. I remember that summer program where I learned to make pottery at Foss High School and act in my first play (as a garbage can). I will never forget everything from copper enameling, string art to bookshelf and stilt making during Friday activities at McCarver elementary in the Hilltop. Then there was drama and band at Jason Lee and Stadium. These experiences had a profound impact on me and the trajectory of my life.
