As the Executive Director of Animal Harbor, I see the need — and the hope — every single day. This isn’t just my job… it’s my heart.

My mission is simple: to make sure Animal Harbor not only exists, but thrives.

Saving more lives. Healing more wounds. Creating more happily-ever-afters.

Shortly after I began working here, a senior dog we named Little Betty White arrived at the shelter — abandoned, frail, and at least 15 years old. She had cloudy eyes, a tired body, and a soul that had clearly been through more than we could know.

She quickly became my hospice adoption, and I had the privilege of loving her through her final six months.

Yes, it was hard. But I would do it all over again. Because in that short time, she knew safety. She knew comfort. She knew what it meant to be completely engulfed in love.

That experience changed me. It showed me — deeply — that every animal deserves to have their story rewritten. No matter how it begins.

That’s what we do at Animal Harbor. And that’s why I’m asking for your help.
