If there’s one thing life has taught me, it’s that healing isn’t a straight line — it’s a winding road. And I’ve spent my life walking alongside people through the hardest parts of that journey.

From trauma counseling here in our community to mission work around the world, my heart has always been drawn to those in need — whether they walk on two legs or four.

That’s why I’m proud to be fundraising for Animal Harbor as part of the Beyond the Bone campaign.

Animal Harbor is a no-kill shelter in Franklin County that provides shelter, medical care, love, and dignity to animals who’ve been abandoned, mistreated, or forgotten. Many of the dogs and cats who arrive there have been through trauma of their own — and just like the clients I serve in my counseling practice, they need safety, gentleness, and trust to begin healing.

That’s what Animal Harbor gives them.
And that’s why I’m asking for your help.

This year, Animal Harbor’s goal is to provide comprehensive care and housing for 300 rescued animals — and right now, your gift will be matched, meaning your impact is doubled.

I believe deeply that compassion doesn’t stop with people. Healing hearts — whether human or animal — begins with empathy and the willingness to show up.

We don’t get to define what’s traumatic for someone else — or for an animal.
