Joey ArriettaJoey Arrietta's legacy is marked by her profound impact on both collegiate and professional softball as well as community service. As the founder and longtime owner of the Akron Racers, she played a pivotal role in promoting women's professional softball and providing opportunities for female athletes. Her leadership helped the Racers achieve significant success, including winning the NPF championship in 2005.   Beyond sports, Arrietta's philanthropic efforts have left a lasting mark on the community through the Joey Arrietta Foundation. She was instrumental in creating the Muffins for Mammograms® program, offering free mammogram screenings to uninsured and underinsured individuals, and has been a dedicated supporter of Stewart's Caring Place. Her involvement with Racers Charities has fostered youth development through fastpitch softball, teaching important life skills and promoting healthy lifestyles.   Joey's commitment to women's health, youth development, and community engagement has created a legacy of positive change and empowerment in Akron. Her efforts continue to inspire and benefit many, making her a beloved and respected figure in the community.
