Kids are our future, and when they have mentors, they are more confident. I think it is important to have someone to look up to, be consistent, and encourages you. Being part of Big Brothers Big Sistersand seeing first-hand the positive impact on the youth in our community is very rewarding!
I was a Big Sister for 2 years and my favorite moment was when my Little Sister taught me how to make slime and we carved a pumpkin together. It was her first time carving a pumpkin and it was a messy but fun experience. It is defiantly the Little moments that make a Big difference.
