Stepping out for an AIDS-free Hawaii Island

The 8th Annual Big Island AIDS Walk will be held on Saturday, May 4th. 

It is an easy 2-mile walk around Liliuokalani Gardens. There is no registration fee to participate in the walk. Proceeds for the event stays right here on the Island and helps to support the Hawaii Island HIV/AIDS Foundation's efforts to building a healthier community.  

Every registered walker who raises $20 or more will receive a commemorative event t-shirt. 

Registration begins at 8am and walk to start at 9 am.

Ask  your friends, family, co-workers, and neighbors to sponsor your participation raising funds for HIHAF.  There will be a Community Health fair featuring local community organizations, entertainment & raffle prizes.  

Your support helps the Hawaii Island HIV/AIDS Foundation continue our efforts in providing access to resources to building a healthier community. 

Our Medical Case Management Team is available for HIV+ individuals to ensure access to a HIV Medical Provider, life-saving medications, mental health counseling referrals, applying for public health benefits, free help in signing up for medical insurance through the health insurance marketplace and a fully stocked food pantry. 

In addition, our Prevention Outreach Team provides free and confidential HIV, Hepatitis C and Syphilis counseling and testing, PrEP information and counseling, Needle Exchange program, risk reduction materials including free condoms, harm reduction counseling and prevention education to schools, businesses and other organizations. 

Light refreshments will also be served.
