Hi! Thanks for your interest in my cycling goals, and Bikes Not Bombs!

Here's the story:

I love bikes. I've been riding them my whole life. All kinds. Within the past few years, I've been riding gravel/bikepacking bikes, and building up my ability to ride farther and farther distances. It's been fun! A major milestone in this pursuit will be when I accomplish my first ride of a hundred miles or more. A "century," if you will...

When I heard that Bikes Not Bombs in Jamaica Plain, MA is hosting a 107-mile group ride as part of their annual Bike-a-Thon fundraiser on Sept 8th, it seemed like the perfect opportunity. Not only could this organized ride help me accomplish a long-standing personal goal, but I could help to raise money for a great non-profit, and support a wonderful community in the process. Perfect!

Here's the pitch:

Please donate any amount at all to help me meet my fundraising minimum of $250. That's all I need to enter, but I figure if we can raise more, great!! All funds donated will go to help Bikes Not Bombs continue their fantastic work.

So that's pretty much it. Thanks very much for reading, donating, and helping me to accomplish this long-standing cycling goal. I appreciate it so much, and I'm sure the very thought of any help I recieve will bring a tear to my eye as I attempt the ridiculous feat of pedaling a bicycle for probably ten straight hours on September 8th.
