The time has come once again to ask those I know and love to donate to an organization I think is pretty great. In exchange, I will put myself through riding 100+ miles around the Boston area. Oh, the horror. (This is, in fact, a win for everyone involved. I am looking forward to this. For your part... well, it's tax-deductible.)

 

This year, now that I've relocated and have a local organization to ride with, I'm participating in the Bikes Not Bombs Bike-A-Thon, a yearly event supporting Boston-area community bike shop Bikes Not Bombs. BNB does a ton of amazing work using bikes for good, including refurbishing used bikes for folks in the local area and overseas, youth programs and apprenticeships, and community events focused on increasing access to bicycle mobility for everyone. Because I believe in the transformative power of bikes throughout the world, this work is incredibly important to me, and it would mean a lot to have you along for the ride! (Figuratively. You don't have to ride 100 miles with me. It's more "your donation is along for the ride." Good enough.)

 

On a personal note: as some of you already know, I've been struggling with some Long Covid-related pulmonary/respiratory issues over the last year and a half. This has affected my riding a lot, including taking me off the bike for extended periods of time. I'm so grateful to be back in a condition where I feel ready to take on a ride like this, especially given the opportunity to do it in support of BNB. I would greatly appreciate any contribution you feel able to make at the moment!
