RIDING FOR THE COMMUNITY 2023

LET'S REACH OUR GOAL TO HELP AT-RISK YOUTH!

BIKE WALK & ROLL 2023
IN-PERSON & VIRTUAL

We are so excited to announce, that again this year’s Bike, Walk and Roll, will be IN-PERSON & VIRTUAL. It will feature a Century Bike Ride, mostly on bike paths and along Pacific Coast Highway, with a Half-Century or 25-mile route as an option and 10-mile Kid's Ride. For our runners there will also be a 10K-Walk or 10K-Run.

For those who are unable to attend, you can still participate in our event VIRTUALLY.

It’s all for a great cause, reaching and supporting "At-Risk youth" and their families through F.O.C.I.S.! (Family Outreach Community Intervention Services)

On Saturday, September 16, 2023, you’ll have a chance to participate with us in our community, in what many have called “One of the Funnest rides of the year!”

HOW TO BE A PART OF OUR EVENT IN-PERSON OR VIRTUALLY

  1. Ride, Run or Walk in our IN-PERSON event or VIRTUALLY in your neighborhood or at home. Walk or Run: in our IN-PERSON route or VIRTUALLY around your neighborhood or in place at home. Ride: in our IN-PERSON route or VIRTUALLY local or on a stationary bike. Complete your intended distance! Please follow your local social distance ordinances to stay safe.

  2. Share Your Why. Post on your social network WHY you are participating. Are you participating in honor or memory of someone? Are you running, walking or riding to encourage others to live a healthy lifestyle? It's powerful and encouraging - please share a picture, a post or a video using the hashtag #VirtualBikeWalk&Roll2023.

  3. Track and Share Your Progress. As you train for the Bike Walk & Roll, share your progress on Facebook or Instagram by sharing a live video and pictures. Post your fundraising goal and a link to your fundraising page, too.

  4. Join Our Community! We encourage you to join our Community Facebook Group for Bike Walk & Roll participants and supporters to stay connected and enjoy our virtual experience together!

  5. Raise More to Raise Mission. Please continue to ask friends and family for donations to support our mission and consider making a personal donation if you are able.

As you cross the finish line, remember our mission here at F.O.C.I.S. is unwavering.

All fundraising proceeds will go to F.O.C.I.S. a community based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose efforts benefit families by providing a comprehensive list of services that address the urgent & habitual problems which affect our communities. Wherever you are - when you ride, run, walk or volunteer, you move F.O.C.I.S. one step closer to its fundraising goal of $50,000. Your participation in the Bike Walk & Roll will help to make its services possible. This is where F.O.C.I.S.'s motto, "Every Child Deserves A Great Future" begins.

CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?

Bike Walk & Roll has been riding for 22 years! With nearly 3,400 riders, 3,600 miles, and more than 2,000 volunteers, we’ve been able to continue providing much needed services to our communities. Programs such as: Teen Turnaround, Parent Project, Domestic Abuse Intervention, Men’s Transitional Home, and Celebrate Recovery have made a huge impact in many lives. These programs have been able to help young teens who have experienced difficult challenges at home and school. Our men’s transitional home continues to provide men in need of rehabilitation a place to live and receive the resources they need. Your participation is needed in making the difference to those seeking services from F.O.C.I.S..
