My Personal Mini-Bash
I've been a subscriber to Seattle Shakespeare Company for over 15 years. Whether the plays are new to me or I've seen them more than once, I am always thrilled by the story, the acting, the casting, the creative interpretation of the script. The language, once you settle in, is miraculous. The plays never grow old. They transcend time, telling us about ourselves and the lives of others. They have inspired countless contemporary artistic creations. Shakespeare is always relevant.
Art matters now more than ever. In crisis and isolation, it connects us to other places, other stories. It boosts our spirits, it helps us grieve. It fills our hearts.
Bill's Bash is Seattle Shakespeare Company's annual fundraiser, happening online for the very first time. Please help me welcome new audiences, new students, new artists into this work by making a gift today, and by spreading the word. Any amount, large or small, is important. Let's keep these classic works alive in schools and communities, on stage and online, for today and for the future! Thank you from my heart.
