Sami is creative, joyful, compassionate, and faithful!

Sami was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her pelvis at the age of 14, and within three months her entire right leg and half her pelvis was amputated. She underwent 10 months of IV chemotherapy. After 9 months of remission we found out the cancer had metastasized to her lungs, requiring more surgeries and treatment. Despite fighting metastatic osteosarcoma for the last 2.5 years she lives life to the fullest. Sami is still fighting osteosarcoma, but always shows up to challenges with strength, resilience, and faith. 

Angels Among Us has been with us this entire journey and we are so grateful. I had to quit my part-time job when Sami was diagnosed. The financial assistance has helped us through the tough times, so we could focus on healing. But they are so much more! They’ve given us the ability to spend fun times together as a family, time for my husband and I to reconnect and even resources to help us parent through difficult circumstances. They have truly made this challenging path easier!
