When I was matched with my Big Sister Deborah in 1994, I was 8 years old.  I have a large family, and I remember telling the BBBS staff at my home in Euclid that I wanted someone that could take me ice skating and actually pay attention to me!  

During our 10 years as an official BBBS match, we shared so many adventures and milestones.  From horseback riding to art projects and board games, we did all kinds of activities.  Deborah attended all of my band concerts and open houses, helped me apply for college scholarships, and even came with me to freshman orientation at Case Western Reserve University.

When we met, I had no idea what my life experiences would be, or who I could become - but I knew I had Deborah in my corner.  The friendship we started over 25 years ago is even stronger today - we are each others' closest confidants and biggest cheerleaders.

Today, I am the President & CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Cleveland.  Being a part of this organization has changed my life, and I am grateful every day for the opportunity to lead our agency as we continue to create life-changing friendships for children across Cuyahoga County.
