Sara Nagy

Hi everyone! Thank you so much for taking the time to read about me. I have been running for as long as I can remember, and am active with my black lab pup and fiancé almost everyday. We enjoy going for long walks, hikes, runs and biking with family and friends! During my Monday-Friday, I work as a board certified music therapist servicing children and adolescents ages 0-18 who are affected by developmental disabilities and/or emotional disorders. My dream is to one day be able to open up my own music therapy practice, servicing anyone and everyone! In my free time, I enjoy writing music with my fiancé, cooking and baking, or exploring new places with friends. 

I started working with the Flutie Foundation back in 2020. I was brought on as assistant music director with my fiancé, who is Music Director for the Spectrum of Sound Choir. Since then, the group has grown significantly, and I have gotten to know the members and their families personally. I have witnessed the benefits that music and the arts have given to the members and their families. As a music therapist, I know just how important music and the arts are as it relates to the autonomy, confidence and sense of community that has been given to the members. My hope is that the money I raise through running the Boston Marathon will help the Foundation continue to grow their musical and artistic programs to support these wonderful young adults whom I’ve grown so close to.
