I am 35 years old and live in Edmonds Washington, north of Seattle. I enjoy running and have completed 6 Boston Marathons and have also run in 2 other marathons and several half marathons.
I am running the 2024 Boston Marathon because it is fun with great cheering on the route, it’s a way to visit friends from when I lived here, and to help raise money for a great cause … the Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation for Autism.
Who I am and why I'm running!
I am a Special Olympics athlete and participates in Track & Field, Softball, Basketball, and Flag Football. I enjoy running and have completed 4 in-person Boston Marathons and 2 virtual Boston Marathons. I have also run in other marathons and several half marathons. In past races, I have raised money for Special Olympics Massachusetts, Special Olympics Washington, JDRF for type 1 diabetes, The Arthritis Foundation, among others … and now for the second time, for the Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation for Autism. Although I live in the Seattle, Washington area, I truly feel part of Dougie’s team and am really looking forward to running the 128th Boston Marathon with Dougie's team!.
