Hey everybody! My name is Patrick Scanlon and I am from North Reading, Massachusetts. I attended UMass Amherst for my Bachelor's degree and Babson College for my Master's degree. During my time in Amherst, I was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The lockdown prompted me to begin focusing my personal fitness, health, and well-being. In 2021, I became certified as a personal trainer and discovered just how transformative fitness can be for everyone. I am running the 2024 Boston Marathon in order to raise awareness about how fitness is more than just a recreational activity. It is a personal growth tool that can serve as a gateway for people to gain higher confidence, discover new capabilities, and develop independence. Although that statement holds true for many, it is even more applicable for the special needs population, including those affected by autism. Please consider making a donation to my page today to help the neurodivergent population and their families build strength, increase confidence, and enhance their overall quality of life.
