I'm biking 400 miles from Boston to Montreal! 

Starting on May 25th, I'm joining 40 other Boston area cyclists to bike a five day trip to Montreal in order to raise money for bicycle safety in our city. 

Known as "Bos/treal" (Boston to Montreal) this ride is the annual fundraiser for the Boston Cyclist Union (BCU), an advocacy organization that promotes bicycle safety and mobility justice in the city of Boston. I've been a member and volunteer for BCU for over a decade, and can say they are the real deal when it comes to making our city safer and more equitable for people who use bicycles for transportation (and fun!). 

For this ride, my goal is to raise $1,900 by May 25! 

It's a lot of money, and I can't do it without your help. To maximuze our financial support for the BCU, we are trying to keep the ride as frugal as possible: we're sleeping in tents, cooking our own food, and a wonderful group of volunteers will be coming along to support us ("SAG") as we pedal our way out of the city, up through the mountains of Vermont and into Canada. Your giving will make a real impact: 80% of the money we raise goes directly to fund the BCU, with 20% covering the costs of organizing the ride.
