Help Dan Help the Boston Cyclists Union
You can also think of it as my birthday gift
I ride my bike for the health benefits it brings. It's good for the body, good for the mind, good for the spirit. This year, maybe also good for international relations.
Bostréal has been one of the awesome ideas for a fun and long ride and I've wanted to do it for years. It's a fundraiser for an incredible organization that does a ton of work to make it safer and more fun to ride bikes for transportation in the Boston area. It also involves visiting Canada with positive aspirations and good will, which could be good thing for how things are going at the moment.
For me, personally, the training for this will help keep me in good shape for all the challenges and activities I'll be tackling in the weeks and months to come this year.
Check back here soon to get a link to the blog I'll be updating during the lead up to the trek, and then again afterwards.

Something Local
A path in New England woods with a downed tree crossing it, slightly suspended above the path by the height of the embankment on each side. The middle of the tree has the bark worn off where there appears to have been foot or other traffic crossing over it.
Framinghammer
A rust and graffiti-covered giant tank dominates the picture. One of the graffiti images includes the words 'I am having some anxiety'.
3H (but really RHR)
Several cyclists are standing around picnic tables at a lunch and rest stop. One cyclist is sitting on the ground doing some stretching in the shade of a nearby tree, and gestures at the camera with thumb and pinky finger of each hand extended in happy greeting.
3H (but really RHR) - Mary Had a Little Lamb in Sterling, MA
A bronze statue, green with rust, of a little lamb. There is an inscription which reads the lines of 'Mary had a little lamb'.
