My name is Matt and I like to go places by bike!

I bike for transportation, fitness and fun.  I love to explore strange and secluded places.  And to get there & back, I depend on safe roads!

I’m fund raising for a very good cause: the Boston Cyclists Union (BCU).  The Boston Cyclists Union is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that works to improve bicycling for everyone in Boston.  I believe in its mission, vision, and values, including people power, dignifying each person, mobility justice, joy and freedom, and sustainability.  Their work has provided me with safe routes to work and other nearby destinations where previously I was at the mercy of often oblivious, sometime aggressive motorists.

Streetscape improvements championed by the BCU make streets safer for cyclists (as you would expect), but these improvements also make driving and walking safer and less stressful.  Their work is a powerful force for improving our communities!

So I ask you to donate… For me, so that I may enjoy this amazing journey (cycling from Boston to Montreal - 400 miles - in just 5 days!).  But moreover, I’m asking you to donate to a cause I believe in.  One that improves the lives of thousands of people everyday!
