Do you drive, walk, or bike in Boston? If so, you’ve probably noticed that our streets need serious improvement. I am raising funds to support the Boston Cyclists Union (BCU), a local nonprofit, that advocates for better and safer streets for every body.

I’ve been a regular bike commuter for five years, and let’s just say—nothing wakes you up like wild Boston streets and Dunkin’-infused drivers! On a serious note, like many cyclists, I’ve had my fair share of close calls with cars. Boston sees an average of seven cyclist deaths per year which is seven too many. That’s why the BCU is part of the Massachusetts Vision Zero Coalition, working to end traffic fatalities and serious injuries statewide.
In addition to advocating for Vision Zero, the BCU works on policy changes, bike lane expansion, and getting more people on bikes through their discounted Bluebike membership. If you are curious, I encourage you to visit their website to learn more about their important work!
