Hi, I’m Dylan. In 2020 I sat before the Amherst town council and awkwardly described myself as “a person who rides his bike everywhere”.
I was at that council meeting to advocate for plowing the local bike path, as it became inaccessible in winter. Unsurprisingly, I didn’t get very far. I realized then that one person can’t do much to influence governmental action, local or otherwise.
That’s where the Boston Cyclist Union (BCU) comes in. They have played a leading role in better laws and infrastructure to protect bike riders in the greater Boston area. I’ve been an avid member for a couple years now and was thrilled to be selected to participate in Bostreal 2023!
Bostreal is a 5 day, ~400 mile bike ride from Boston to Montreal. It’s also the BCU’s biggest annual fundraiser! All donations go to support the BCU's goal of making riding in the greater Boston area safer and more enjoyable. Please consider sponsoring my ride!
