With much of this not otherwise in the school curriculum, Junior Achievement brings volunteers and program material into the classroom to benefit local area students.
I have served on the local advisory board for over ten years as I've seen the positive impact this program creates for students K-12. In addition to my time on the board, I volunteer each year to teach personal finance to the seniors at South Medford High School. My wife has volunteered in the elementary schools teaching the differences of a Want vs. a Need and the basics of how business works. Both of our boys have benefitted from the various programs over their years in school, including the immersive Finance Park capstone experience.
