Hey guys,
I was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder 10 years ago at the age of 16 after already enduring severe emotional dysregulation for a few years. I was in 10th grade and I was scared out of my mind, not knowing what was to come. Receiving the diagnosis was life changing because it led me towards finding the proper treatment. However the last 10 years have not been easy. I still struggle, I still hurt. Especially during the current COVID-19 pandemic, I am finding it very difficult to manage my intense symptoms.
I was introduced to Emotions Matter in 2015, before the organization even had a name, before it even was a formal organization. Their mission is one of hope, one of strength, and most importantly - one of community. I owe so much to the dedicated leaders of EM and every single amazing person I have met along the way.
Now is such a crucial time to feel connected and supported. Please help me raise funds for this inspiring organization, that continues to fight for BPD advocacy and treatment access even though America has essentially shut down.
Maybe this is the lift we need. Maybe participating in this event is the one thing keeping a person from contemplating ending their life.
THIS is hope. THIS is community.
It would mean the world to me if you could contribute during these trying times.
