Our sweet little Lana Rose was born prematurely on August 16th, 2015 at 24-weeks due to severe preeclampsia and HELLP syndrome. She spent 6 long months in the hospital, undergoing lots of treatments, but most importantly, much needed growth and development. She was only 12 oz and 10.5 inches when she was born, much like a tiny little caterpillar. Inside her isolette, protected like a chrysallis, she grew stronger and bigger everyday until she emerged, spread her wings like a beautiful butterfly and she was finally able to come home with us, where she belongs, on Saturday, February 6th, 2016.

Lana has now been home for almost 3 months and has been thriving and hitting all her milestones with flying colors! From 12 oz she is now well over 12 lbs and 4-months gestationally (8 months actual).  We are so proud and blessed to be her parents. Most of all, we are incredibly grateful to the doctors, nurses, respirartory technicians and staff at Children's Hospital who have helped make our journey as easy, pain-free, hassle-free and successful as possible. We are forever indebted to this magical place that loved and cared for our baby as much as we do.
