Q1.  How much does it cost to participate in the event?

Nothing it is FREE.  You can choose to make an optional donation when you register.

Q2.  Where does the event start?

The event starts and ends at Jim Archdekin Recreation Centre in Brampton.  The address is 292 Conestoga Drive, Brampton.  Be sure to check out the vendors set up.

Q.3  What happens if the weather is bad?  Will the event be cancelled?

Bike the Creek will take place rain or shine, so please come prepared for these conditions.    Before heading to the event, please check this web site.

Q.4  How much experience do I need to participate?

Bike the Creek is open to all ages and abilities.  Routes are carefully selected to ensure that the event remains open to all.  Be sure to select the ride that matches your abilities.  A route description is provided outlining the types of surfaces you will encounter to ensure you  have the proper type of bike to participate.

Q. 5  I don't own a bike, but want to participate, what should I do?

If you need to rent a bike, check out our Sponsor, Caledon Hills Cycling, for their selection of hybrid bikes! Don’t be left out because you don’t have wheels!

Q.6  Can we cycle the routes other times of the year?

While our friendly and helpful volunteers won't be out there, participants are encouraged to cycle the routes throughout the rest of the year.  Maps are available to download.  You can also use our event map, given out at the event to navigate.

Q.7   I have already registered for the event but can no longer attend.  What should I do?

We are sorry if you are no longer  able to attend the event, but we appreciate that you let us know.  Please contact jgardner@trca.on.ca.

Q8.  Do I have to pre-register in order to participate?

Pre-registration is the only way that we can guarantee participants lunch and it also helps us in our preparations for the event.  While we won't turn you away, if you are just finding out about the event, pre-registration is preferred.
