Howard and Gwen Dvorkin of Debt.com and Parkland Cares/Stacey Udine:

Howard Dvorkin, a successful entrepreneur, and philanthropist, seamlessly integrates business achievement with a deep commitment to community welfare. Triggered by the 2018 Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in his hometown of Parkland, Howard’s dedication to mental health services led him to co-found Parkland Cares, emphasizing ongoing support for trauma counseling. As Chairman of Debt.com, his mission extends to empowering individuals with debt solutions and personal finance education.

Howard’s wife Gwen, a successful real estate agent, avid horse rider and dedicated mom of four beautiful children and five grandchildren wanted to do more in the community after the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School tragedy. In addition to being involved with Parkland Cares, she launched a unique effort to improve the mental health of at-risk children by inviting them twice a year to an equestrian center for what she likes to call ‘horse therapy.’

When Gwen and Howard are not creating programs to support mental health, they donate their time and money to existing causes. Howard says, “The world has no shortage of tragedy, but I believe we owe it to our communities and ourselves to help our neighbors who are suffering. Parkland Cares is our way of doing that.”
