Why am I Walking?

I am walking to celebrate the lfie of my nephew, Chance. Born almost three and a half years ago, Chance is a blessing for our entire family. He has brought love, laughter, and compassion to our family and taught is the importance of advocating for inclusion. The Buddy Walk is one of my favorite events of the year. I want to try and raise as much money as possible to provide Chance and others with Down Syndrome access to events, support, and resources.

Down Syndrome Community of Puget Sound: 

The DSC's mission is to provide impactful programs and resources for individuals with Down syndrome and their families while evolving perceptions in the broader community.   Funds raised at the Puget Sound Buddy Walk® allow them to continue to offer their many programs, events, and initiatives, and to add more to meet the needs of their members.
