The Cone Health Center for Healthy Equity is excited to present Building a Better You: Health and Wellness Community Event on Saturday, June 29 from 11 a.m.– 3 p.m., at NC A&T State University's Corbett Sports Center.
CATCH 5 In 5 stands for Collaborative Action Toward Community Health and references a bold goal of closing the life expectancy gap by 5 years in 5 years. The Center for Health Equity realizes that the structural barriers to good health are so deeply entrenched that no one organization can solve them alone and that the community intervention needed to address these barriers will have a far greater impact if we collaborate with partners and residents of the communities we are privileged to serve.
For that reason, Building A Better You Cone Health is partnering with multiple organizations - faith-based organizations, education providers, local businesses, government agencies, and more – to bring the community over 50 exhibitors connecting people to the services they need for long-term wellness. The day will offer health care screenings and services and resources for transportation, nutrition, employment, family services, mental health, prescription needs, and more to community members who might not have access otherwise.
We hope you will join us for this FREE event and that you will bring your friends and family to enjoy the day. In addition to wellness services, there will be entertainment, kid's activities, and free lunches while supplies last.
