Why I support the Roundhouse Aquarium
Science and Environmental Education is more important now than ever! Students have been stuck at home in front of screens for a year, now it's time to get them learning outside and experiencing science and nature. Help the Roundhouse Aquarium get the students to the beach and aquarium for hands-on learning. Every little bit helps!
About the Roundhouse Aquarium
The Roundhouse Aquarium Teaching Center (operated by Oceanographic Teaching Stations), located at the end of the Manhattan Beach Pier has been serving the community for over 40 years. Our mission is to connect visitors and students to the oceans, provide hands-on and interactive experiences with marine life and habitats of Southern California, and inspire people to have positive impacts on the environment.
Each year, thousands of students from across the Los Angeles area are brought to the Roundhouse and beach for hands-on STEM field trips. Most of these students are from low-income schools, and 25% of them have never been to the beach before this field trip. Join us by donating to provide buses to allow more of these students to experience the wonder of the ocean, learn about the environment, and experience science in a hands-on environment.
