About the Roundhouse Aquarium
The Roundhouse Aquarium Teaching Center (operated by Oceanographic Teaching Stations), located at the end of the Manhattan Beach Pier has been serving the community for over 40 years. Our mission is to connect visitors and students to the oceans, provide hands-on and interactive experiences with marine life and habitats of Southern California, and inspire people to have positive impacts on the environment.
Each year, thousands of students from across the Los Angeles area are brought to the Roundhouse and beach for hands-on STEM field trips. Most of these students are from low-income schools, and 25% of them have never been to the beach before this field trip. Join us by donating to provide buses to allow more of these students to experience the wonder of the ocean, learn about the environment, and experience science in a hands-on environment.

Why I support the Roundhouse Aquarium
I think that science education is critical, but more than ever, it needs to be outside, hands-on, and (most of all) FUN!
I want kids who are excited about science, excited about their place in the world, and who understand that we're all connected on this big blue planet.
Please donate any amount to make sure our next generation gets to experience the beach! Just like all the tiny phytoplankton add up to a world full of oxygen, all the little donations add up to a world full of students excited about finding out what phytoplankton is ;)
