My Personal Fundraising Page

Two years ago I lost my aunt to breast cancer. I’ve had other family members and friends battle this disease and even pass away from it, but losing my Aunt Terri struck me harder than any other before. My aunt was a nurturer; always taking care of those around her. When it was her turn to be taken care of she had a hard time doing that. She was extremely committed to her career and continued to work through her treatment, not wanting to let her coworkers down.

While working on a marketing campaign for the Quincy Medical Group Cancer Care Team, I started noticing that many patients continue to work through their treatment. Most continued to work because they simply could not afford to take the time off. Physically fighting cancer is hard enough, I can’t fathom how difficult the financial burden is on top of that.

So in honor of my beautiful, strong, amazing Aunt Terri who always selflessly took care of others; I am buzzing my head in support of those who are fighting this awful disease. My hope is that together, we can make their fight a little less difficult.
