We lost my grandpa to lung cancer a few years ago. A little while after that, my grandma developed cancer. This terrible disease has touched all of our lives in some way. 

I had the opportunity to work with the QMG Cancer Care Team on a marketing campaign. While working with them, I was inspired by their dedication to each and every one of their patients. The compassion and support they give is wonderful. Many of the patients also inspired me. Their ability to fight and stay positive while still juggling their lives is truly amazing. It made me ask myself what I can do to help. What can we all do to help? From our experiences personally and with the Cancer Care Team, the Buzz Off Cancer event was created.

I am shaving my head in honor of everyone who has had to battle cancer. The journey that cancer brings isn’t easy. It’s paved with emotional and financial burden. Together we can spread awareness, show our support, and hope to ease that burden if even a little bit.
