But they aren't the only ones headed back to school. Every year, hundreds of DC-area adults enroll in Byte Back classes to gain tech skills and pursue living-wage careers.

These nontraditional students overcome innumerable barriers - including addiction, homelessness, and violence - so they can better provide for themselves and their families.
