Meet Our Speaker: Trevor McClelland
Author of 22 Houses is Not a Home
Trevor McClelland is an active-duty United States Air Force Master Sergeant whose life story is rooted in resilience and hope. He currently serves as a human resources administration professional, dedicating his career to developing people, guiding teams, and helping others reach their potential.
Trevor spent his childhood moving through 22 foster homes, orphanages, and periods of homelessness, where he experienced abuse, neglect, and hunger - circumstances that could have limited his future but instead shaped his purpose. Those early challenges instilled in him a deep commitment to mentorship, service, and advocacy for vulnerable populations. Today, he continues to serve others as a leader and mentor, both in and out of uniform.
He is a certified Master Resiliency Trainer, has volunteered with the Utah State foster care program, and has served at a battered women’s safe house in Colorado. Trevor is also the author of 22 Houses Is Not a Home, a deeply personal account of growing up in the foster care system and discovering perseverance through hope and faith. He is married to his wife, Sarah, and together they are raising their two children, Theo and Eliana.
