Last year, as my two geriatric rescue pups were starting to show their age, we decided to rescue a puppy so the older dogs could help show her the ropes. Sadie was born in an abandoned barn. Fortunately a good Samaritan  walking past heard the puppies crying and brought them in out of the cold Michigan December night. 

When I met Sadie it was love at first sight! I think I laughed more in her first year than I had in the previous five! She just makes me smile every time I look at her. Because of this I am training her to be a Therapy Dog so she can brighten other people's days too.

Animals can do so much for the human spirit! This is why I am supporting this cause and hoping others will join me in helping CHS continue the important work they do!
