I'm Lindsey, and I adopted my first dog in October, 2017 from the Lenawee Humane Society. Remy was 4 years old at the time and she had been at the shelter for about a month. I was told that she was starting to shut down. When I first met Remy I knew she was the one. I am not sure of her story or where she came from but it doesn't matter because Remy was meant to enter my life. It took her some time to adjust, I believe she had never been inside a home before or ever slept in a bed. 
Once Remy came out of her shell and knew she could trust us, she bloomed into the best dog I could ever dream of. She is patient and gentle, graceful and social. Remy howls at squirrels and loves ice cream. And even though she snores like an old man, she is still the BEST snuggler. 
Remy has changed my life and I wouldn't trade her for anything in the world. 
This is why I am taking part in this fundraiser. I try to support as many shelters that I can in small ways like this. Shelter animals deserve love and a chance to know what it's like to have a family. Humane Societies do wonderful and admirable work. Every donation helps and every little bit supports an animal in need. ❤️
