You may have noticed that I have changed the profile to feature Mango, as I have reconsidered this fund raising effort and wanted to include a shelter dog. 

Mango was known as Love Bug, followed by Bundt Cake during her stay at the shelter, which was really far too long and no one could understand why she wasn't adopted.  She is definitely a sweet dog, and now I believe she was really waiting for her right family. 

On Saturday, August she went to the Latino Market with me and later that day, I received a note from an AC she had been adopted by a friend of mine and his family.  It was a match made in heaven.  She deserves to be included in the calendar!

Fundraising has always been difficult for me, but I am taking the plunge because RAL has become very near and dear to my heart and I want it to continue with its mission for a very long time (although it would be nice not to need any shelters housing unwanted animals). The time I spend at the shelter and with other activities is one of the most rewarding activities with which I have been involved and I hope you will join me in this endeavour and donate whatever you can.
