I am raising money for Canine Companions® because I believe in their mission and appreciate the impact these exceptional service dogs have on the people they serve.

My Torah portion deals with war and captives of war.  War is terrible and still ongoing in the world today in Ukraine and between Israel and Hamas in Gaza. I've learned about soldiers, and people living through war, suffering from life altering injuries and PTSD.  Service dogs provide companionship and assistance to Veterans and victims of war.  Service dogs can help stop nightmares, assist with household activities and recognize when their humans are in distress.  I hope to raise funds to help feed, train, and care for the companion dogs.

Did you know? Each Canine Companions service dog is specially matched with a person with a disability. The connection and bond that the team has is incredible! These dogs not only open doors, pick up dropped items and turn on light switches, they provide greater independence and an amazing life-time partnership.
