Your support will help enhance the lives of people with disabilities through an expertly trained service dog.
For my Bat Mitzvah project, I am overjoyed to support Canine Companions, an incredible organization that provides expertly trained service dogs for children, adults and veterans with disabilities—free of charge. These amazing dogs empower people by offering independence, confidence, and companionship, making a life-changing impact on their daily lives.
Anyone who knows me knows how much I love dogs! I’ve always had a special place in my heart for them and I’m lucky to have my own amazing dog, Benny, who brings so much joy to my life. Seeing the love and companionship that dogs provide has inspired me to support Canine Companions and help give others the same incredible bond.
I discovered Canine Companions at a Stanford Football tailgate, where they had set up a tent and brought a bunch of service dogs in training. Me and my friends spent around 30 minutes petting the dogs. They were so fun and made me so happy. I want everyone to be able to experience this, which is one of the key reasons why I chose this organization.
I plan to make a donation to Canine Companions and I encourage you to donate too if you feel passionate about this organization! Donating to charity in Hebrew is called tzedakah, and it is a very important part of becoming a Bat Mitzvah. I also am very excited to volunteer when I meet the age requirements!
I am so excited to share this journey with you and truly appreciate your support in helping me give back to such a wonderful cause!
