Your support will build a new puppy training yard at the minimum security space at Coffee Creek Correctional Facility. In January 2025, and 30th Anniversary of the puppy raising program for Canine Companions expanded into the minimum secuity. 

Coffee Creek was the first prison in the country to partner with Canine Companions to raise and train dogs to be specially matched with a person with a disabilty and at no cost to the recipient.     

I am raising money for Canine Companions® to enhance the program at Coffee Creek Corrrectional Facility by providing an outdoor yard for training the puppies in the program.   

Did you know? 

*  Over 200 puppies have been raised and trained at the facility since 1995.  

* Currently 24 puppies are being trained in the program at Coffee Creek Correctional Facility.  

* Over 125 incarcerated puppy raisers have since been released with a very small rate of recidivism.  

* Graduation success rate for dogs trained at Coffee Creek Correctional Facility exceed the national rate by comparision. 

This programs builds convidence and success for both the handlers and the dogs.  These dogs go on to become service dogs that provide greater independence and an amazing life-time partnership.
