The mission of The Coordinating Center is to partner with people of all ages and abilities and those who support them in the community to achieve their aspirations for independence, health and meaningful community life.

Since 1983, The Coordinating Center has helped thousands of children and adults with disabilities and complex medical needs across Maryland access critical services (e.g., housing, mental health, nutrition, transportation) to:

  • improve their quality of life;
  • overcome barriers to care; and, 
  • live fulfilling lives in the community.

Our Family Resource Fund provides critical financial assitance to people with disabilities and complex needs throughout the state of Maryland.

100% of your donation helps The Coordinating Center provide vital services and supports, such as:

  • Adaptive equipment (e.g., chair lifts, bath chairs, car seats, wheelchair tie downs)
  • Assistive technology (e.g., communication devices, products for visual, hearing and speech impairment)
  • Housing Services (e.g., one time rent or utility assistance)
  • Medical equipment and supplies 
  • Respite services
  • Other critical services and supports

100% of your donation goes directly to people in need.

You can help us build a better, stronger future for people with disabilties and those with complex medical needs by joining us on May 11, 2023 at the American Visionary Art Museum for CenterFlix, our gala fundraiser for the Family Resource Fund and 40th Anniversary celebration.

  • Our 40th Anniversary slogan ‘We are Stronger Together', embodies who we are today! We embrace individuals and their unique perspectives and thrive on the collaboration of our community of 250+ coordinators (nurses, social workers, supports planners, housing coordinators, life care planners and others) who work together to support more than 9,200 people in Maryland. 
  • To mark this milestone we aim to raise over $100,000 for our Family Resource Fund through our CenterFlix campaign and gala fundraiser at the American Visionary Art Museum on May 11, 2023, sponsored by Amerigroup, DP Solutions, HomeCentris Healthcare and other community partners featured on our sponsor link.
