Bike for Community and Climate

I love cycling. The wind on my face, the beautiful country roads or colorful city streets, the exercise, the places I see and the people I meet all contribute to my love of cycling. I also care about social change and the health of our planet and biking is a path to both. 

I've seen how Bikes Not Bombs has transformed lives.  They train youth to be conscientious leaders. They offer bikes to underserved youth and adults locally and in the Global South. With sustainable transportation, people can get to work or school and reach services while getting exercise! They advocate for safer streets.  But Bikes not Bombs is not only a successful social change organization, it's a community. A community who believes in biking as a way to heal the world. A community who cares about cities, each other and the environment.  A community that joins together in the joy of a bike ride, its power to change lives and the commitment to making the world a better place.

This is why I am participating in the BnB bike-a-thon. I want to support the great work that they do. I hope you will too.
