Fundraising with a Team
Get your friends! Form a team!
Many people find fundraising rides more fun and memorable when participating with a group of their favorite folks. Teams often create costumes and can even fundraise together. Individual fundraising minimums still apply. Plus, teams are eligible to win cool prizes - win a team prize by raising the most money!
How to Form a Team
To form a team, simply create a team during the registration process and select a team name. Everyone you register as a rider will automatically be given the option to join your team, but they do not have to. You can also ask others to join your team. They can join during their own registration process or search for your team name and join later.
Team Fundraising Minimums
To set your team fundraising goal, don’t be afraid to be ambitious! The default team minimum is set to $600, or the combined minimums for two adult riders. Remember that individual rider fundraising minimums still apply when deciding your team fundraising goal: $300 for adults 18 and older, and $150 for youth ages 16-17.Your team minimum fundraising goal is the total sum of all individual minimums for your team members.
For example, if your team has 2 adults, and 1 youth aged between 16 or 17, then your team minimum is $850:
- $300 minimum per adult x 2
- $150 minimum per youth aged 16
- Total = $750
For teams with all adult riders, simply multiply the number of team members by $300 to find your team fundraising minimum. If you have a team of 5 adults, then your minimum team fundraising goal is $1,500.
- $300 minimum per adult x 5 adults = $1,500
