KJ is in her 20th year of training at Sun Dragon, and Laura just returned from New York, where she earned her third degree black belt, so this year is special for us. We are working hard to reach our team fundraising goal of $2000.
Sun Dragon is a 501 (c)3 nonprofit organization that teaches violence prevention and karate to students of all ages, genders, and backgrounds. We support the personal and physical empowerment of all through training in conflict resolution, self defense, and non-violent martial arts. Kickathon is our largest single fundraiser - the money we raise through our annual Kickathon supports free to low-cost violence prevention outreach and student scholarship programs.
It's *because of you* that Sun Dragon is able to provide low-to-no cost violence prevention outreach to our community, and provide scholarship programs for students who wouldn't normally be able to enroll in a martial arts school. Kickathon is how you can help keep our mission strong.
