We are excited to announce the 30th anniversary of the Milton Foundation for Education! Our annual Celebration for Education - on Saturday, May 2, 2026 (Derby Day) 5:30pm at the Blue Hill Country Club - honors and promotes the incredible happenings within the Milton Public Schools. For the past three decades, your contributions have made a remarkable difference, with over $4,000,000 distributed to support over 55,000 students in all six Milton Public Schools. Your contributions are instrumental in our success, expanding Milton’s educational offerings through initiatives such as:

  • GRANTS: In the past five years alone, we have awarded nearly $250,000 in teacher grants that enhance classroom and extracurricular initiatives as well as district-wide funding for science.
  • EXPERIENCES: While the district provides high-quality education in the schools, we help enrich students' experiences beyond the classroom by funding grade-wide opportunities that impact all MPS students. These include field trips to events focused on the transition from elementary to middle to high school, and beyond.
  • SCHOLARSHIPS: Each year, MFE awards scholarships to Milton High School seniors pursuing further education, highlighting their hard work while lightening families'; financial burden.
  • HONORING EDUCATORS AND COMMUNITY LEADERS: In addition to recognizing Milton's amazing educators through our Teacher of the Year Awards, in 2025, we rolled out the Kate Middleton Rookie of the Year Award. This year, we are instituting the Beirne Lovely Founders Award, which will celebrate non-traditional educators who enrich the Milton community.
  • CALLS TO ACTION: Last year, in the face of district-wide budget shortfalls, MFE helped bridge the financial gap for important milestones such as MHS graduation, the 8th grade DC trip, and 5th grade stepping up days. In our 30th year, money raised will allow us to collaborate with MPS principals to tailor funds for each school’s unique needs. 

As with past events, we will have a brief program where the winners of Teacher of the Year will be honored.
