We are donating our time, expertise, and materials to create a one-of-a-kind piece of furniture. 100% of all funds raised will be donated directly to this year's selected nonprofits. About Chairity
For the past six years, two has brought us Chairity, a design competition/fundraising event created to bring together the design community to up-cycle furniture (typically chairs, hence the clever name) while raising money for nonprofit causes. This year, for the first time ever, two has paired up 30 design teams with 30 manufacturers to co-create an auction piece, as well as help raise funds for a select group of worthy organizations.
The nonprofits supported by the 2020 Chairity event are:
Project Color Corps -- transforming under-resourced communities through great design and the power of color
Black Organizing Project -- reviving the spirit of Oakland’s Black community through relationship building, leadership development, political education and policy-change
Inneract Project -- empowers underrepresented youth through design education and links them to opportunities to explore design in career and life
Hamilton Families -- our mission is to end family homelessness in the San Francisco Bay Area
Family Dog Rescue -- we rescue dogs of all breeds, backgrounds, and personalities from California and Mexico. We provide care, medical treatment and behavioral assessment before finding them the loving homes and second chance they all deserve
American Red Cross Wildfire Relief Fund -- help support the people suffering from the effects of the western wildfires and the devastation they cause
