From the start, our collaborative team knew that we wanted to focus on the theme of social justice for our creation. We drew inspiration from BLM signage - integrating different pattern possibilities to create a scene that featured the black power fist as a wall tapestry made of rug pieces. We eventually moved on to a more refined design featuring the Black power fist to communicate our vision.
