CHAT Walk for Wellness Challenge Description

What is it?

The challenge is to walk 28 miles in the month of February in aid of our CHAT counseling fund.

How do I do it?

1. Register for the Walk for Wellness Challenge.

2. Walk at least a mile each day in February. The campaign offers people a great way to stay active and moving throughout February – which is especially important now that most of us are spending our days in front of a screen. The easiest way to count and keep track of your miles is by using an app on your phone or your wearable activity tracker. You can also use our handy printable Step Tracker if you'd like to track your steps each day and week yourself.

3. Share on Facebook!  Encourage your network to join you in Walking for Wellness. Keep your supporters up to date on your progress while raising much needed funds for our CHAT counseling program. 

4. Follow the Irish Diaspora Center CHAT Facebook page and tag us in your posts. Be sure to use the hash tags #IDCchat and #IDCWalkForWellness in your posts. Share support and tips to help fellow walkers reach the 28 mile target.

All funds raised will go towards providing counseling services for members of our community in need.

You won't just be doing something great for our CHAT program by taking on the Walk for Wellness Challenge, walking is also really good for you! Benefits of walking include:
