Q: What is a virtual run and walk?
A virtual walk is a real walk, but on your terms. You choose your own course, what time you start, and who walks next to you! The walking is real—it's the community that's virtual.

Q. How do I participate in a virtual 5K?
For a virtual 5K, you can walk, run, or move however and whenever you would like to in order to complete your 5K (3.1 miles) at any time between now and Sunday, March 31, 2021 at midnight ET. So first thing to do is select a team that you would like to join; choose your participation level (Rookie or All-Star) and complete registration process. Once you complete your 5K, simply login and share your results on the 5K website.  Also, post pictures of your participation and tag us at #CHCPinellas.

Important Note: We do ask that you continue to follow the social distancing guidelines when you run/walk, especially when it comes to engaging with individuals outside of your household as you participate in the virtual 5K event.

As part of your 5K registration, you will receive an email receipt of your registration, a thank you letter for your participation, a virtual race bib that you can customize with your name or favorite numbers, and a commemorative face mask with the Super Healthcare Heroes 5K logo based on your participation level. We hope all participants will print out and wear your virtual race bib, along with your Super Healthcare Heroes face mask and post and/or email us pictures of your participation. Please tag us on social media at #CHCPinellas or email your pictures to – CHCPSuper5K@gmail.com.

Helpful Tip: You can track your 5K using a wearable activity device (i.e. Apple Watch, FitBit, Garmin, etc.) or time yourself with a phone app.

Q: Can I still form a team and fundraise money?
We would like to you select your favorite celebrity team and join in supporting our Healthcare Heroes. But you can absolutely help raise money for the team that you select to join by sharing the event and links on your social media platforms, sending out emails, and inviting your family and friends to either join a team or make a donation to support your fundraising efforts. Also, if you have anyone who would like to mail-in a donation by check or money order made payable to CHCP Foundation, please have them place “Super 5K”/(Your name) on an enclosed note and mail it to:

During this unprecedented time, your support is needed now more than ever before to help our Healthcare Heroes and those in underserved community who are struggling to survive.

Everybody and anybody! There is no age limit and there are no restrictions. So, grab your shoes and run, jog, walk, or skip, it doesn’t matter. Just get out there and get moving!

Q: I don’t live in the United States, can I still participate?
Absolutely! A Virtual 5K means you can participate anywhere in the world!

Q: Will I be timed and how will you know if I participated?
Your walk/run will only be timed by you! You are welcome to time yourself as a part of your personal goal or however you are comfortable. We encourage you to use your wearable activity tracker or time yourself with a phone app. We also hope you will not keep your participation a secret. So we encourage all participants to take pictures and post them directly on our Facebook page (CHCPinellas) and on your social media platforms. And if you do not have social media, please email us pictures of your participation. Please tag us on social media at #CHCPinellas or email your pictures to – CHCPSuper5K@gmail.com

Q: Do I need to submit my time and photos in order to receive my event goodies?
No. Your registration will serve as your verification of participation. After you complete your registration, you will receive a virtual race bib that you can customize with your name or favorite numbers, and a commemorative face mask with the Super Healthcare Heroes 5K logo, if you register for the All-Star level. Please print out your race bib and wear your face mask when you do your walk or run.
