We’re Suvir and Raina, two friends and high school students who are fundraising for The Children’s Heart Foundation. A nonprofit that’s focused on advancing the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of CHDs. We sought fundraising out after finding out about facts to do with CHD’s
One fact that really hit us: nearly 1 in 100 babies—around 40,000 each year—are born with a congenital heart defect in the U.S. And about 25% of those infants need surgery in their first year just to survive. We’ve seen families navigate a future that they didn't sign up for, and we believe that helping raise money is one great step we can take to fix this problem.
