His Fight is my Fight!

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I am participating in the Congenital Heart Walk to support the mission of The Children's Heart Foundation: to advance the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of congenital heart defects by funding the most promising research.

His fight is my fight! We walk for Wyatt, who was born 5 weeks early and with congenital heart disease. Wyatt has aortic valve stenosis due to a bicuspid valve and had to undergo a balloon valvuloplasty in the NICU at 9 days old, when he weighed just over 4 pounds. He also has developed post stenotic dilation, so we aren't sure which issue will require a major surgery first, but he is in good hands with frequent monitoring at C.S. Mott Children's Hospital under the care of Dr. Owens.

In the meantime, he's a super active toddler and enjoys climbing, doing puzzles, getting messy, and watching Baby Shark!
